Bulk loaded components complete acceptance checks and pass to assembly stations. Mini/Max insertions force checks are completed and the finished contact assembly ejected. The system provides for the integration of contact blank with spring and hood. • AAI produces both electronic and gravity weight assembly versions. • AAI has developed a signature high density profile for multi-station reel fed machines providing a compact and yet easily maintainable approach to minimum footprint automation. Heavy gauge steel machine platforms are powder coated and provide ground steel work surfaces. Hardened chrome plated tooling and anodized alloys provide a corrosion free work environment. • An automated, high volume, machine produces board-to-board connectors at a rate of 40 units per / min. Precision cam operated work stations insert contacts into insulators that are transferred by walking beam. This high density reel fed system orients, aligns and places selective plated contacts into insulators followed by insertion and position verification. A vision inspection station and additional sensors perform High Pot and final configuration checks. Accepted components are loaded into trays for packaging. • AAI provides cable-manufacturing systems that feed and twist the wire, laminate the cable and package it on reels. Running at up to 10 feet per/min these systems accommodate up to 68 wire positions. • AAI has developed semi-custom manual and automatic loading laser marking systems for small components. Typically used for interconnect and Electronic Component applications, these units can be customized for most small component applications. Easily incorporated into most production lines AAI laser products use Fenix CO2 laser technology to create crisp, clear marking on plastics, metals and countless other materials. • The AAI systems provide fast, permanent marking of alphanumeric characters, logos and bar codes at high speed. The manual loading station and automatic component feed mechanisms can be customized to accurately and safely locate the component during the marking process. These compact designs keep operators hands away from the marking areas. • AAI laser marking products can be supplied as table top units ready for incorporation in product line or mounted on optional heavy gauge, powder coated steel platforms. Compact, optional fume extraction and air filtration systems are available as free standing or built in systems for the removal of localized gasses generated during the marking process • Four cam-indexed stations comprise this custom designed machine for assembling fluid control valves. Vibratory bowl fed components are ultrasonically welded and assembled. • AAI manufactures semi-standard workstations that assemble components, dispense adhesive and then transfer to a UV cure station.
