Testing the Sportster 1200 Roadster on Clocktower Harley-Davidson's season opening day. • After I tested the Road King I was eager to test the new 1200 Sportster Roadster too. When I sat on it I was disappointed right away: it wasn't the off-the-shelf Roadster but a rather freakish conversion. The handlebars deeper than originally, the footpegs moved backward and, last but not least, a hard solo seat but the seat didn't matter anymore. • The lesson is clear: I was lucky to get off this bike when we arrived. Why would a Harley rider do this to himself?
