Have you seen what happens to M Ms when you put them in a bowl of water? This fun science experiment for kids will reveal something amazing. A simple kitchen science activity for kids of all ages to try at home. • What you need: • a small jug of water • four or five M Ms • a glass bowl • Place four or five M Ms in the bottom of the bowl, with the M facing up. • Now carefully pour in about 4cm of water, try not to disturb the M Ms too much as you do this. • Watch what happens. It should take about five to 10 minutes. Eventually the M on each candy will peel off and float to the surface. • Why is it so? • The M letters on M Ms are printed in edible white ink. The ink won't dissolve in water. When the candy shell dissolves, the letters peel off and float to the top. • • More info on Kidspot.com.au - http://www.kidspot.com.au/kids-activi... • Kidspot.com.au, we have all the games, craft and activities you need to keep them happy.
