Bassline as played note-for-note by British Bassist Legend, JACK BRUCE. And this bassline is played here on a Rickenbacker 4003 to highlight its clear, yet ballsy tone. This song, co-written and sung by Jack Bruce is from the 1968 Cream Lp album, Wheels of Fire. • The bass is a 2018 Rickenbacker 4003 Jetglo, with original pickups and FRESH NEW Rickenbacker roundwound strings (45 - 55 - 75 - 105). The TONE selector switch is pushed IN for the MODERN TONE. The Bridge pickup is at full while the Neck pickup is at 9. • And the amplifier is a Marshall B 25 MK II and the Bass knob is at 4 o'clock, the Midrange at 1 o'clock, and the Treble is at 2 o'clock. • In addition, I designed and created a stainless steel 'cover' for the 'hole' surrounding the treble pickup--it does not affect the tone, nor the magnetism of the magnet of the pickup. Why did I create that?
