Workers affiliated to trade union NEHAWU in the Free State have vowed to continue with the strike until their demands are met. Workers have converged on the National District, Pelonomi and Universitas Academic hospitals in Bloemfontein. Their demands include a 10% wage increase, housing allowance and bursaries for their children. The strike has affected operations in some health facilities.
