Saptak is a 5- piece alternative/funk/experimental band rooted from the city of Trivandrum in Kerala. The band is a mix of struggled up Btech graduates and techies from different parts of the city, who've realized and succesfully reached into one particular dream, of making music !! Started as usual as a college band, after various changes in the line-up, the band is now concentrating on exploring various possibilities of blending hindi/tamil/malayalam lyric and ideas in the style of alternative rock. • Our musical influences range in a pretty wide circle, which starts with Blues, Heavy metal, Progressive rock/metal down the way to RnB, funk and up to Post rock .
