I believe everyone should understand Cialdini’s six principles of persuasion, and I'll explain why in this video. • Cialdini described six 'principles of persuasion' and makes the point that being persuaded is not necessarily a bad thing in itself (for example something as trivial as wearing a seatbelt takes a degree of persuasion, at one stage of our lives). • I'll talk more about Cialdini's six principles of persuasion, and the psychology of persuasion, and why we need to safeguard ourselves against something which on the surface seems to offer the fulfillment of one of our emotional needs, when in fact someone is only doing so as an attempt to influence you to give something much more in return. • Quick reference points: Cialdini's 6 principles of persuasion: • 1. Reciprocity (2:03) • 2. Self-consistency (3:29) • 3. Social proof (5:57) • 4. Perceived authority (6:48) • 5. Likeability (7:43) • 6. Scarcity (8:41) • If you found this video helpful then please click 'like' and subscribe for more videos like this. • All references can be found on the original blog post here: • ▶︎https://www.unk.com/blog/what-is-the-... • Read more on The Primal Human Needs: What nature says you need to lead a satisfying, productive, and happy life: • ▶︎https://www.hypnosisdownloads.com/blo... • Sign up for Mark's Clear Thinking newsletter for weekly therapy tips like this sent straight to your inbox: • ▶︎https://www.unk.com/blog/free-therapy... • --------------------------------------- • ++About Mark Tyrrell++ • Psychology is my passion.
