Vada pav is one of the most famous street food of India in Maharashtra. Spiced potato balls covered with Gram flour batter and deep fried to crisp and served with Pav or Bun. Here we have made it completely street style at home. • Subscribe • https://www.youtube.com/FoodRush?sub_... • Ingredient : • • Stuffing # • 6 Boiled Potato • 1/2 Tsp Mustard seeds • 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds • 10 – 12 Curry leaves • 1/2 Tsp turmeric powder • 1/2 Tsp Asophoetida • 3 Green chilli • 1 Tbsp Ginger garlic paste • 1/2 Cup coriander leaves • Batter # • 200 gm Gram flour • 1/2 Cup Water • 1/2 Tsp turmeric powder • 1/4th Tsp baking soda • 1/4 Tsp Asophoetida • 2 Tbsp Hot oil • 1/2 Tsp Red chilli powder • Oil for deep Frying • Method • Stuffing # • Add 2 Tbsp oil to the heated pan. Add Curry leaves, Mustard seeds and cumin seeds to it. • -- • Once mustard seed starts spluttering add coarsely crushed chillies and finely chopped ginger garlic to it. Saute it well. Add Asophoetida and turmeric powder to it. • -- • Add boiled smashed potatoes and mix it well. Add salt as per taste and cooked in a closed lid for around 2 -3 minutes. • -- • Smear coriander leaves and give it a quick mix. Set aside to cool for ten to fifteen minutes. • Batter # • Take a gram flour. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, Asophoetida and baking soda. • -- • Add sufficient water and whisk to make a semi thick batter without any lumps. • Batata Vada # • Heat sufficient oil in a deep-frying pan. • -- • Make small tikkis out of stuffing. Coat this tikkis with gram flour batter. • -- • Carefully slide this Vadas in heated oil. Deep fry these Vadas for around four to five minutes. • -- • Once vada is fried completely remove it from the oil.
