For starters, Jiraiya could have survived if he chose not to go back out to confirm his suspicions about the six paths of pain. He saw enough where while he couldn’t be for certain who they were, he did see enough he could have eventually guessed the real one wasn’t there. Also, an alive jiraiya would have been there to train naruto in sage mode and upon seeing naruto use shadow clones, Jiraiya would have become a perfect sage himself. This would have led to master and student fighting together against Pain, which means Naruto never transforms into the 9 tails, but also never meets Minato. Jiraiya would probably be named temporary hokage instead of danzo and he would have taken Naruto with him to the five kage summit as one of his bodyguards, but also so Naruto could plead on behalf of Sasuke to beg his life to be spared. The only real questions are does Sasuke go to the 5 kage summit or does he go to Konoha to kill Danzo and the elders.
