Borderlands 2 Gaige vs Pete the Invincible

HIS GIMMICK IS HE REALLY LIKES FIRE! • Pete the Invincible, a super version of Pyro Pete, the boss from the Tourge DLC storyline. It's clear he (or any other raid boss) was not meant to be soloed, but that doesn't stop me. Using a near-identical build to the one I used for my Terramorphus rematch (only difference is that Nth Degree was removed for Myelin). • So this guy, he's not too hard, certainly not hard or cheap like Hyperious from Captain Scarlett, but without certain skills, he's probably not supposed to be easy in the slightest. He's got massive health and shields, as you'll see in the video (6:40 was the time from spawn to kill), but his attacks are limited and predictable. He has maybe six attacks: flamethrower, acid thrower, fire bombs, acid bombs, fire nova, and acid nova. Until his shields are down, you can pretty much block all damage by having a fireproof and alkaline shield on hand and switching between the two as nessecary. Once his shields are depleted, he'll start attacking with both types at once, so it's recommended that you keep the fireproof shield on at this point (in my opinion, fire is more dangerous since players don't wear armor). • The one thing that makes him difficult is the fact that when he lights you on fire/covers you in acid, you burn/corrode for a hell of a long time (because of this, Adaptive shields are not recommended, especially when he starts using both elements). The burn/corrosion actually makes it near impossible to use a Bee against him, because even with 5 points in Blood-Soaked Shields, I wasn't able to keep full shields for longer than a second and the fact that i'm pretty sure the nova attacks are unavoidable. • Other than that, all you really have to do is stay away from him (to avoid his flame/acid throwers) and keep moving (to dodge his bombs); despite the small arena he's relatively easy. As I used, there's an ammo station (similar to the ones in the Warrior's Vault) when ammo gets low and two valves that spawn cannon fodder rats or spiderants for second winds (or in my case, Blood-Soaked Shields). On another note, the guy seems susceptible to Slag weapons, my Transfusion grenades seemed to Slag him for a good five or six seconds. • So here's my run, Mechromancer vs Pyro(Caustic) Pete the (Ultra) Invincible. 600 stacks of Anarchy, a Fibber, Slag Transfusions, a fireproof turtle shield, and a alkaline Tediore shield. • And yes, if you're wondering, Gaige's Anarchy screams do annoy me after a while, but since most of the player callouts are hilarious as hell, i'm reluctant to turn them off.
