A Warren County woman on Monday accused a teacher of putting her son with autism in a restraining chair inside a closet. Asha Crews said her 6-year-old son, Sincere, was placed in a “restraint chair” inside a broom closet at Mariam Boyd Elementary. Crews said the closet has no air conditioning and showed signs of mold. Crews said the principal told her it wasn’t a restraint chair, but the Warren County Superintendent, Keith Sutton, said it was. Sutton also added the teacher was a contractor and not an employee of Warren County Schools. • Subscribe to WRAL: • / wral5 • News Tips: • Online - https://www.wral.com/report-it/ • Email - [email protected] • Follow WRAL: • Facebook: / wraltv • X: / wral • IG: / wral • About WRAL-TV: • WRAL is your Raleigh, North Carolina news source.
