Australian students build solar lights for children living in energy poverty

What a day! • Students from Birkdale State School had a great time assembling SolarBuddy solar lights for children living in energy poverty through our Education program last week. • The solar lights will allow the children living in energy poverty to safely study after dusk and improve their health and education outcomes. • The students thoroughly enjoyed the session, where they learnt all about energy poverty, renewable energy and what it means to be a global citizen. • Our Education program is STEM and ACARA aligned, helping students to develop crucial critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Birkdale State School teacher, Kate Hyder, and Year 5 student, Justin, had a chat with our team about their key learnings from the session. • To learn more about our Education program, head to https://solarbuddy.org/programs/educa...
