Monday marks the the date of the first retro release of Nike's Waffle Trainer 2 - the first 1:1 reissue of the 1979 OG! The Waffle Trainer 2 was released in an era when jogging became popular and America celebrated their Track Field heroes such as Steve Prefontaine. Bill Bowerman had (by accident) invented the waffle sole profile and revolutionized not only track running with his running shoes.
