Recorded mostly on Thursday, November 30, 2023, with some opens also coming from the day before, Wednesday, November 29. • Archiving all of these for posterity as the station gets ready to leave its downtown home of more than 50 years, in the shadow of the world-famous Arch, in favor of a newer location out in suburban Maryland Heights (coincidentally a short drive from KTVI's studios in an office park out that way). This means KSDK will now be the only television station in the market based in the city itself, with even KDNL quietly relocating last year to a suburban office tower. • With the move, the station is expecting to drop the News 4 name in favor of First Alert 4 . The station has been phasing in the name verbally over the past few months, but none of the graphics have actually been changed. This will be resolved when the station relocates. Monday is the official launch day. GrayONE's graphics package and a new set is also expected to accompany the move. It is unknown if the music will change or if KMOV will be the first GrayONE user to buck the trend and use a composer other than Stephen Arnold. • Overall, I think KMOV does a solid job with a great mix of long-serving and newer talent and good content selection. KMOV is extremely competitive with NBC affiliate KSDK and both can claim #1 depending on how you interpret the data. • For now, the station is using the former Meredith standardized package that was launched in late 2020. CBS Enforcer from Gari Music and Warner-Chappell Production Music is being used, and Brian Lee is the voiceover artist. • Great Day St. Louis , the long-running 9am lifestyle show, and its newer 3pm Gray-launched companion My St. Louis Live use Meredith's former standardized lifestyle show graphics package that has now also been sent to Gray's other stations to use for that purpose.
