Learn how to save multiple edits for the same image in Lightroom. In this video, we will learn how to use Snapshots and Virtual Copies to leverage the variety and save multiple versions of the same image in Lightroom. • Unlike saving a preset, snapshots in lightroom allow you to save a different set of edits for the same image. Suppose you are editing a photo and after a while, you want to experiment black and white with it. At the same time, you want to save the color version edit in case black and white doesn't look impressive and you might want to go back. In this case, snapshots help you the save a particular set of edits for the same image. So that, whenever you open the image, all your different styles of edit will load up provided that you save it. • Or, suppose you spent hours and hours editing a photo, and you are a bit satisfied but f you're like me, you would want to experiment with the image. Now, you don't want to take the risk of messing up all the previous settings. Also, you don't want to dump everything in your presets panel. In this case, too, you can use snapshots to save that set of settings and move ahead. • Now, suppose you want to create different versions of the same image and export them separately and want Lightroom to show as if there were two images. You must use Virtual Copy . This is not exactly a duplicate.
