Harry Edward Nilsson III (born June 15, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York; † January 15, 1994 in Agoura Hills, California) was an American singer-songwriter who was particularly popular in the 1960s and 1970s. In most of his publications he did not use his first name, but simply called himself Nilsson. His best-known songs are the cover versions Without You (originally by Badfinger) and Everybody's Talkin' (originally by Fred Neil) as well as his own composition One. • Fred Neil (born March 16, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio; † July 7, 2001 in Summerland Key, Florida) was an influential American folk and blues singer and songwriter of the 1960s and early 1970s. In 1968, Harry Nilsson recorded a cover version of Neil's song Everybody's Talkin', which was a worldwide hit a year later when it became part of the film music for the film Asphalt Cowboy. • Artwork by Thomas Mueller •   / arthomasmueller
