Understanding Court Orders

Court orders in a divorce can seem to have limited purpose when the other parent is not following them or completely disregarding the court order all together. If you are having a dispute and you call your local police or sheriff department you may be shock when they tell you, “This is a civil matter and you need to go back to court” instead of enforcing the orders right then and there. As a result of this you might falsely surmise that the court order isn’t worth the paper it is printed on. Although that does appear to be the case in the moment that isn’t the way it will be when you go back to court to have the “violation” dealt with. • This is why I believe it is really important to have every issue that is truly important to you annotated so first, hopefully your ex will in fact follow the court order. And second, if they don’t follow it, you have something to really hang your argument on if you have to take it to court. • PayPal Donation: https://tinyurl.com/gp3mhnd • Find more information at http://www.dadsurvivingdivorce.com
