How to Fill Your Own Capsules with Exact Dosages

In this video we explain how you can easily fill hundreds of capsules at a time while ensuring you have the exact amount of main ingredient you want in each one. • It's a simple technique that requires there to be 1 main ingredient powder and a filler powder to fill the free space leftover in each capsule. The goal is to calculate the final ratio of main ingredient to filler powder. Once you know this ratio, you can mix your powder at this ratio and fill as many capsules as you want, and they will all have the exact dosage you've chosen. • In the video, our example measures this with a size 00 capsule, and a desired main ingredient dosage of 100mg/capsule. • Steps and math shown in the video: • Our desired dosage of main ingredient in each capsule for this example is 100mg. • Step 1 - Measure how much main ingredient can fit in 1 size 00 capsule body (Video example: 500mg) • Step 2 - Measure how much filler powder can fit in 1 size 00 capsule body (Video example: 1000mg) • Step 3 - Calculate the amount of filler powder required to fill up the free space left in 1 capsule body after the exact amount of main ingredient is added. • (Video example: • 1 capsule body can either hold 1000mg of filler or 500mg of main ingredient. That's 1000mg/500mg = 2. Therefore, there must be 2 times as much filler powder to fill the same amount of free space that would be left in main ingredient powder. • 500mg of main ingredient - 100mg (exact dosage) = 400mg worth of free space in main ingredient • So 400mg x 2 = 800mg of filler powder is required to fill the free space left in 1 capsule body after 100mg of main ingredient is added, which means there will be 100mg of main and 800mg of filler in each capsule) • Step 4 - Use the FINAL RATIO of main ingredient to filler powder to mix together the two powders and fill your capsules. • (Video example: the final ratio is now 1:8... 1 part main ingredient to 8 parts filler powder. So to fill 100 capsules, you would need (100 capsules x 900mg per capsule = 90,0000mg = 90 grams) 90 grams of powdered mixture. That's 10 grams of main ingredient and 80 grams of filler powder.) • Mix that up and use that to fill one hundred capsules with a capsule-filling machine.
