High Steel Bridge • The High Steel Bridge is a truss arch bridge that spans the south fork of the Skokomish River west of Potlach on National Forest Service road #2340 in Mason County, Washington, near the city of Shelton or Hoodsport.The bridge is 685 feet long, and its deck is 375 feet above the river. • I have no idea why it was built (in 1929) perhaps for logging… at any rate it was a very well built project! • #highsteelbridge • #pnw • #daytrips • #hood_canal
