Typhoon Vamco is drawing near landfall in Vietnam, and remains fairly strong. Regardless of an exact landfall intensity, Vamco will be high rainfall totals to already saturated areas and is a major threat to Vietnam. • • In the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Iota is forecast to rapidly intensify to near major hurricane strength during the next 3 days before making landfall in Nicaragua or Honduras and moving slowly inland, marking the second potential hurricane landfall in Central America in under 3 weeks.
