April 2020 saw the closing of the legendary Danvers, MA CEC #478. • Originally opened as a Pizza Time Theatre in April of 1983, this Location had a glorious 37 year history that saw just about every phase the concept has been through. • • On April 25th, it's two biggest fans and former employees held a live webcast to celebrate it's legacy. • This 'virtual fan gathering' gave everyone a chance to say 'goodbye'. as well as learn more about this Store's history, hear some personal stories, and enjoy some vintage photographs. • Fans watching online during the webcast also were live witnesses to the final 'Parking Lot Live Show' with The Big C himself making a surprise appearance! • • It was nice to share this event and have some closure , as local fans were robbed of experiencing one last visit due to the secrecy of the forthcoming closure. • Regardless of that loss, we made sure to send it off in style. • The legacy lives on ! • • Special thanks got out to LooneyBird78 for editing and compiling this version of the broadcast specifically to upload here for archival purposes. • The technology was not cooperating the night we attempted the webcast and was it was fraught with a lot of stops and starts, but now fans can enjoy this far more streamlined presentation.
