Primer is a 2004 independent science fiction film that was Written, Directed, Edited, Composed, and Starring Shane Carruth. The film follows Aaron (Shane Carruth) and Abe (David Sullivan) two engineers that are trying to invent something that they can make money off of on the market. However, they accidentally invent a box that's capable of sending objects back through time. They create a bigger box capable of transporting humans back through time. They start using it for mundane purposes like profiting off the stock market. However, as they start to create more of these boxes, they start lying and deceiving each other, and they start to realize the dark repercussions to their actions. • The film was made on a $7000 budget and has grossed $800000 dollars at the box office, making it one of the most successful independent films.
