Removing the Zwift Cog and Replacing It with a Cassette • Hi! If you want to train using apps other than Zwift, you’ll need to remove the Zwift Cog and install the correct cassette for your trainer. Fortunately, it’s pretty simple. • Make sure you have the appropriate cassette for your bike—likely an 11 or 12-speed cassette. You’ll also need a chain whip and a lock ring tool. • Let’s get started! • First, take your chain whip and drape the loose end over the Zwift Cog sprocket, from back to front, ensuring the chain teeth engage properly. Wrap the fixed section of the chain around the sprocket until the chain whip is fully secured. You’ll be turning it clockwise, so make sure it’s positioned correctly. • Next, insert the lock ring tool into the Zwift Cog. • With both tools in place, grab the handles and push down. Turn the chain whip handle clockwise while turning the lock ring tool counterclockwise. The lock ring should loosen quickly. • Once it’s loose, remove the chain whip, then unscrew and remove the lock ring by hand. Take off the orange disc, followed by the metal sprocket, and finally the larger black disc. • Now, it’s time to install your cassette. Line up the narrow spline on the cassette with the narrow spline on the freehub body, and slide it all the way on. Repeat this process with the rest of the cassette gears. • Finally, screw the lock ring back into place—finger-tight at first. • Grab your lock ring tool again, insert it into the lock ring, and hold the pulley wheel on your trainer. With your free hand, turn the lock ring tool clockwise to tighten the lock ring. Be careful not to overtighten. • Now, just reinsert your adaptors, mount your bike, and you’re ready to go! • ____ • • Visit our website to see our full range of products: • http://jetblackcycling.com/ • • Get our latest news by following us on these channels: • • Facebook: / jetblackcyclinginternational • Twitter: @JBCyclingINTL • Instagram: @jetblackcycling • Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/jetblackcycling
