Check it out at the link below. • Consider Supporting Our Channel by becoming a Patron at: / groundcontrolrc • Follow us on Facebook: / ground-control-rc-1805295043132721 • Thanks for watching, please give a THUMBS-UP and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE. • Ground Control RC [ RC Review Series ] • [ Review - Redcon CM421-2 4CH Full Range DSM2 Receiver ] • Update!!!! • After using both the 4 channel and 6 channel version of this Receiver and having 2 of them fail on me, I do not recommend the RedCon line of Receivers. • • I ordered two of these receivers to test as I was looking for a small light weight 4 channel receiver for my Scratch-Build Micro Planes. • This receiver seemed to meet all my needs. • I was unable to get a successful fail-safe setup on either of the two receivers. • One receiver has a solid orange LED and the other has a constant blinking orange LED as though it is having communication errors. • The one that has the constant blinking orange LED is the one I tested in my Ground Control RC F-22 Micro V1. • The plane has already had a couple of nose first crashes due to one flight with a failed servo and one flight with a failed Walkera RX601 Receiver so I thought, If it survived two bad crashes it should survive a third, right? • This Plane is our 2nd Scratch-Build Aircraft and will be part of our upcoming Glue and Fly Series of Scratch-Build Foam Planes. • Introducing the Ground Control RC F-22 Micro V1. • The Plane has a 380mm (15 inch) wingspan. • The AUW (All-Up-Weight) is 166.55g. • I have a blast flying this plane and will be building version 2 in the near future. • The plane is fast and is a bit wobbly on launch. • The wind was out of the Northeast at 5-7mph. • I'm giving this Receiver 3/5 Stars on the review. • It performed well, however, the blinking orange LED gives me concern and the lack of fail-safe gives me even more concern. • Happy Flying! • Here are the specs: • REDCON CM421 2.4G 4CH Full-Range DSM2 Compatible Receiver • Description: • Brand Name: REDCON • Item Name: CM421 receiver • Band: 2.4GHz • Channel: 4CH • Modulation: DSM2 • Dimensions (L xWx H): 29x16x7mm • Weight: 3g • Voltage Range: 3.6-10v • Antenna Length Main RX: 29mm • Key Features: • Preset failsafe system • Compatibility (Spektrum,JR,DSM2): DX6I,DX7,DX8,DSX7,DSX9 DSX11 • Binding Procedure: • Put the binding harness into the Channel marked BIND. • Next apply power to the receiver.
