Life has become more complex, more demanding and in many ways, more stressful. On top of that, when unexpected devastating occurrences hit us at some time in our life, the damage and the effects can be so overwhelming, that we never ever fully recover. The NO PLACE LIKE HOME album is a body of work encompassing 10 tracks -songs written by Mario (except for Vincent which was written by Don Mclean) inspired through a journey of upheaval and eventually, after a road of uncertainty and complications, a road to healing after facing unbearable and extremely turbulent times due to the loss of a loved one - his beautiful 22-year-old daughter. Each song reflects the different emotions Mario experienced through these traumatic times. Globally, so many people experience at one time or another, heart-breaking pain through loss, trauma, and stress and or unbearable pain. Sometimes the stress, the pain is so unbearable that it becomes nearly impossible to carry on with everyday life. Some lucky ones many times learn to live with loss, stress and or trauma, even though never really recovering, but simply learning to live with stress and pain and through time, hoping the pain is muted in some way. Through the writing process, by expressing these emotions through lyrics and music, Mario managed to find a ray of light through these deeply troubles times of personal darkness and eventually into the light. Allowing him to live in his world today with a far more positive outlook on life. Savouring the memory of the past as a blessing, feeling honoured and loved to have had been blessed with his daughter for 22 years instead of being embittered with the life-changing loss. Mindfulness issues are now a key part of our lives in so many ways. This body of work touches on these types of issues, allowing people going through emotional and unbearable pain to find a way through their own dark journeys and eventually finding their own personal ray of light - a healing process through music.
