We will now go ahead and get a wire harness for each install on the vehicle. We will take a gray cable with the black and white wires and connect it up to the cables on the 7-pole connector. We will connect black to black and the blue wire, we will connect it to our white wire. And then we will go ahead and install the loom and get it ready. Now, we will move on to installing the bracket for our 7-pole connector. • • This bracket does not come with the kit and it just really depends on what vehicle you were working with. In this case, we will be using part number 18140. Now, in effort to keep our bracket as close as possible to the bumper when the poles do not quite line up because the bracket bottoms out on the hitch going that way. So what we are going to do is simply drill out the hole here a little bit larger so we can accommodate the hardware, so we can pull it down flat. • • We will do a test fit and keep drilling out til we get the clearance we need. I'm going to pull a flat through the bracket here. Now, lets take our 7-pole bracket and we are going to pull it towards this way. Lets go ahead and run our wires over the hitch then we will go ahead and connect the pre-existing 4-pole. Before we connect the two together, we are going to give it some dialectic grease to help protect the terminals. • • Now, we will go ahead and start taking our cable and running it towards the front. When we run our cable, we will make sure we stay away from anything that is hot like the exhaust or anything moving like the suspension components. Now, also keep in mind, we will need a spot for our white wire to ground it to the frame. Now, we will go ahead and run our ground screws onto the frame and when you get up to the front of the vehicle, you will make sure you stay away from anything moving like the steering components as well. Now, we will go ahead and find a spot for our circuit breakers. • • It looks like there is a nice flat area right here. We will use a 20 amp circuit breaker for our brake controller and then we will use a 40 amp circuit breaker for our hot lead going out that to the 7-pole connector. We will install this in a relatively flat area right here. We will take our gray cable and we will route it across the front of the engine. We are going to run it to a 40 amp circuit breaker which is this one and then make sure we end lead going through our battery. And what we will do is we will strip this wire back from here to the circuit breaker, and onto the rest of the way out. So this wire will go to our circuit breaker and our battery. This will be left over wire. And the white wire will be run back to the brake controller. Now, from this point on, we can go ahead and peel back the gray even more, so that more cables are running over to our brake controller. Lets go ahead and start making a connection to the circuit breaker, then we will add a ring terminal on each side. We will use one of the large ring terminals on the other end of our wire to go to the battery. So our short lead here going to the battery, we will connect it to the copper side of the circuit breaker. Our other half of black wire, we will connect it to the silver post. We will finger tighten these for now, but we will leave our connection for the battery as one of the last things we do. Now on most applications, there will be some leftover cable that will be enough to run from the brake controller out to the battery. We will go ahead and route the cable on this vehicle, it took up all the length. So we are actually using an extra length of wire. Roughly, 8 to 10-foot long will be more than enough. So we are just going to lay it out like we did before for our first cable. Make sure we have enough leftover to go into the cabin. Alright, I have to run the wires to the inside. We are going to find an access point to get from inside to
