Toad debuted Butterflies to live audiences in the fall of 1990. The band played the song sparingly at shows after the release of fear in 1991 but began to work it more heavily into concert setlists starting in 1992. It remains a track that you might still hear at Toad shows. If you are lucky enough to hear it at a Toad show, it will include the band's homage to the Beatles' Within You Without You at the end.
