29 October 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the #NagoyaProtocol on #AccessAndBenefitSharing. • The Protocol was adopted on 29 October 2010 in Nagoya, Japan, as a supplementary agreement to the Convention on Biological Diversity. The historic agreement gave the world a framework to further advance the third objective of the Convention: the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising out of the utilization of genetic resources. • To mark the occasion, CBD, the UNDP GEF Global ABS Project and partners are organizing the Global ABS Conference 2020, from 29 October to 25 November to discuss #TheABSweALLneed.
