The Bar Department is also involved in organizing and managing cocktail parties, special events, and theme parties. • The Bar Waiter or Waitress offers Guests suggestions on their drink selections and is responsible for sales in the Lounges. In addition, they keep tables clean and sanitized, and ensure that all the tables are in order. He or she must promptly report any defects with tables or chairs to the Assistant Bar Manager or Bar Manager. During service, the Bar Waiter or Waitress responds to Guests with courtesy and helps the Guests to sit down, always remembering to serve ladies first. He or she must report any complaints to the Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager.
