Foundation Louis Vuitton • Client: Gehry Partners • Location: Paris, France • Completion Date: 2014 • The multi-award winning project, Louis Vuitton Foundation, first opened in 2014, serving as a a well recognized museum of arts for its innovative design and multiple curved glass surfaces that make up the entire structure. These transparent surfaces allow for picturesque views of the surrounding gardens. The multi-purpose exhibit also features a bookstore, restaurant and auditorium that can accommodate up to 350 persons, often used as an exhibition space, or special event venue. • • BDS Vircon (now known as DBM Vircon) scope for this project included detailing out the stainless steel mullions, along with the glulam timber beams, glazing fixing plates, main frame and locating base frames.
