And yet others believe we may be seeing an entirely new creature, and that we are witnessing evolution in progress. • • Whatever the consensus is, enough of these creatures have made news in recent years that if one shows up, it is a safe bet that it will be referred to as a Texas Chupacabras (as opposed to the much more alien-looking Puerto Rican Chupacabras). • • And now, yet another carcass of these mystery canids has turned up, again in Texas. What is it??? Mangy coyote? Hybrid wolf/dog/coyote? An entirely new species? Or maybe a Xoloitzcuintle? What do you think?
