John Bryan State Park is located in Yellow Springs, OH, in the southwest corner of the state. The road trip from Northeast Ohio takes between 2 and 3 hours; a long trek, without a doubt, but the park offerings make it fully worth it. The hiking trails provide exquisite views of the Little Miami river and the surrounding gorge. Moreover, the park has nearly 11 miles of single track mountain bike trails, which are maintained by the Miami Valley Mountain Bike Association. • The trails are mostly devoid of roots and rocks, and have little elevation change. This makes the trail perfect for beginners to get used to riding off road and through the woods. The lack of rugged terrain also means the trail can be ridden fast by more experienced riders. The trail also has several optional man-made features for those looking for a more challenging ride. • The 12 miles of trails are divided in to 6 sections: Powerline (2.2 mi), Abracadabra (2 mi), Upper Great Scott (2 mi), Great Scott Loop (2.1 mi), Frankenlight Loop (2.2 mi), and Lower Great Scott (0.5 mi). The sections depicted in this video are Powerline and Abracadabra. • For more information about the mountain bike trails at John Bryan State Park, visit MTB Project: https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/3822... • For more information about John Bryan State Park, visit the Ohio State Park website: http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/johnbryan • Stay tuned for the second installment of the John Bryan State Park MTB videos, featuring Upper Great Scott and the Great Scott Loop! • Catch you on the trails!
