Tibetan Mastiff vs wolf • Our video today is about couple of Tibetan Mastiffs fending off couple of wolves. The dogs usually scent mark their territory warning off wolves and barks often especially at night to keep the wolves at bay. Wolves usually try to avoid confrontation with dogs, as a small injury in the wild can be fatal. • However, if the wolves are really hungry then they'll go to any extent to get to food, even if they have to fight their way through a dog. • Farmers in china are now keeping, wolf and Tibetan mastiff hybrids to fend off wolves. These hybrids are more agile with great endurance, stamina and ability to match the wolf's speed. • Now let's talk about our video of the day. These Tibetan Mastiffs prevented couple of wolves from entering the barn, that they were guarding. The Tibetan wolves diet is strictly carnivorous. They eat any animal they can catch. They hunt from smaller preys such as rodents, hares to large prey such as elk, Asian deer, horses and bulls. Some time they'll attack the livestock of farmers, and that's why farmers keep Tibetan Mastiffs to fend off these wolves. • Usually the wolves won't enter an area guarded by dogs, but when the food is scarce then nothing is safe. Wolves will go to any extent to get to their food, even if it means fighting a pack of dogs and sometimes a single dog or a weak dog will become a meal itself for the wolves. • Both the dogs did their job really well, which was to fend off those wolves. • However, if it was a Kangal , Akbash dog, Alabai , Dogo Argentino or Bully Kutta etc, it could've been a fight to death. • #tibetanmastiff #kangal #akbash
