Hello, Everyone, This is Jason Sikes AKA The Tech Rancher, here with a homework solution for lesson number 43. This is from the course Raspberry Pi Pico W by Paul McWhorter. You can watch Paul's videos on YouTube by searching for Paul McWhorter or go to his website at www.toptecboy.com Okay time to get to this homework solution • Paul asked us to find the orientation or condition that would produce 0 G's on the X, Y, and Z axis. The only time I could produce zero G's was in a free fall but that was just for a short period because if you continue in a free fall you'll start reading the acceleration of the Free Fall itself on a z-axis, if dropped straight flat. • Paul took some time explaining how the three axes are read by plates positioned in three different locations; X and Y are facing on the side while Z is facing flat. First I tried to figure out by drawing to see if there was a position or an orientation that would reduce the downward pull on those three axis. The best I could come up with is 0.5 on all three axes. But if you were to drop the 6050 it would show for a small amount of time a zero g on the z-axis. But this is just a small time window. I was not able to achieve a steady state zero on all three axes. Maybe Paul will show us a solution in the next video. can't wait to find out. • Until next time, be safe out there. • #electronic #micropython #electronicengineering #raspberrypipico #ssd1306 #mpu6050 #technology #trigonometry #acceleration
