He is The Keeper of the Mystical Manual of Magic (or Manny as he likes to call him). The series follows the life of MoleTown’s most famous mole. He is forever in demand. Each day he’s invited to participate in events, make appearances, learn about new mole cultures and customs from moles of diverse backgrounds, and share his knowledge of the human world above. • Although Moley is viewed by the citizens of MoleTown as a knowledgeable “mole of the world”, he’s still the same old regular Moley and isn’t as self-assured as he appears to be to the adoring public. Sure, he’s got a magic book, and yes, he’s been to a few amazing places… but he’s really no smarter than the average mole. • Therefore, with every new experience, Moley finds himself in a pickle. Whether he’s joining in an underground tunnel race (but has never driven a racing car before), or entering a cooking competition against MoleTown’s most famous chef (he’s never really cooked before), or sharing the cultures of diverse moles (none of which he is familiar with), Moley always manages to wind up in a bind. • Luckily, he’s got his best friends to help him unmuck even the muckiest of mucky circumstances. Mona Lisa’s brains and class help him navigate the public eye, while his plucky best friend Dotty does a great job helping Moley in all his adventures. He’s also got the ancient wisdom of Mystic Mole in his corner as well as the inventive sort-of-know-how of Mishmosh to help overcome molehills that are especially mountainous. • ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ • Meet Moley and his friends: • Moley (voiced by Warwick Davis) is an English mole who is funny, lovable, and endearing. In his earlier years, he never quite fitted in with the other moles in MoleTown, but since he became The Keeper of the Mystical Manual of Magic and the most famous mole in the entire world, things have been different. Nowadays, though Moley’s status amongst his fellow moles has changed, he has not. He’s still a bit of a dreamer — quirky, slightly eccentric, and kind to a fault. • Manny is a flying, free-spirited magical book. Manny goes wherever Moley goes and possesses untold magical abilities, although these rarely work as planned. Spells that seem like solutions usually cause bigger problems than the ones they were solving in the first place. Manny has no voice, but expresses himself with explosions of magical sparks and exuberant sound effects. Moley may be the chosen Keeper of the Book, but Manny has a mind of his own. • Dotty is Moley’s next-burrow neighbour and number-one fan. She is always tinkering with inventions and has her own special tunnel network which takes her anywhere in town with a flick of a lever. But Dotty often messes up directions, and is easily distracted by food. She’s a devoted vegan and will do anything to save worms. She’s passionate about climate change, and about being Moley’s mission mastermind. But her enthusiastic help often makes matters worse. • Mona Lisa (voiced by Gemma Arterton) is Moley's best friend and confidant. She's a stylish mole tuned in to different cultures and languages, and she travels around the world on work commitments. She often accompanies Moley on adventures and lends a dose of common sense to his outlandish ideas. • MishMosh (voiced by Stanley Tucci) is the zany planner of the city of MoleTown. He is its most famous inventor and lives in City Hole, where he dreams up amazing, futuristic new innovations for MoleTown.
