Crazy Dave upgrades his dry age fridge using a Monster Fridge. • If you want to make your own you’re going to need a few things, here is a good setup: • Supplies: a fridge, a flat power strip, 4 fan(s), salt (I use 2 salt blocks), a UV-C light, a digital humidity/temp controller and a reader of some sort. • All of these things can be easily found on Amazon. Here are some suggestions. • Fridge - You will need something that can keep temps between 33-38 degrees. • Costco fridge was my last one, this time I went on Craigs list and found the Monster Fridge. I paid $250.00 for this one. Just keep looking and find something that will hold those temps. • Flat Power Strip – This is for connecting your fans and UV light in the fridge. (I got one that I had to add the conector to it since I had to feed through the gap in the door. • Salt Block – To capture moisture • https://www.amazon.com/.../dp/B00FW19.... • Fans – To control humidity, you will need 2 computer fans. These are USB pluggable, and will plug into the power adapter (power adapter link above, under power strip). • https://www.amazon.com/.../B00MW.../r.... • UV-C Light – To kill bacteria • https://www.amazon.com/.../B00OL.../r.... • Digital Humidity and Temp Controller – To control humidity and temp. This sensor plugs into your wall and your fridge plugs into it. You then run the sensor into your fridge. If temp exceed range it will turn on/off your fridge. If you want to control humidity you will need a small ultrasonic humidifier (optional). The humidifier will plug into the second outlet.https://www.amazon.com/Humidi.../dp/B.... • Temperature and Humidity Reader – To read internal humidity and temp levels. Works over Bluetooth, connects to your phone. There is a wireless base station (optional) that connects your sensor over the Internet. • https://www.amazon.com/.../B01AE.../r.... • (Optional) https://www.amazon.com/.../ref=cm_sw_... • The only other things you will probably need is 2 low profile 10x14 aluminum cake pans to hold your salt, as well as a box if Arm and Hammer to help with odors (you can get this at a store or again buy on Amazon).
