MAZDA CX 60 All features, interior, engines explained, e SKYACTIV PHEV • Mazda CX-60 e-Skyactiv D powered by a completely new 3.3-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine • Choice of 200PS/147kW and 254PS/187kW - up to 550 Nm of torque, WLTP fuel consumption and emissions as low as 4.9 l/100km and 127 g/km • New DCPCI (Distribution-Controlled Partially Premixed Compression Ignition) clean burn combustion technology for ultra-low emissions • The 254PS/187kW e-Skyactiv D delivers impressive performance of 0-100 km/h in only 7.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 219 km/h, returns a WLTP average fuel consumption of just 5.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of only 137 g/km and the 200PS/147kW variant returns a WLTP average fuel consumption of just 4.9 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of only 127 g/km. • The in-line six-cylinder format produces less vibration due to it’s characteristic ‘perfect balance’, for a smooth and quiet ride, whilst delivering a clean, engaging engine sound. The engine’s high torque delivery gives the CX-60 a high, 2,500 kg trailer weight towing capacity, and as a result of its simple structure, the engine weight is similar to that of a the 2.2-litre Mazda Skyactiv D four-cylinder diesel engine, therefore minimizing the difference in handling balance. • An in-line straight-six 3.0-litre e-Skyactiv petrol engine will join the e-Skyactiv D and e-Skyactiv PHEV to complete the Mazda CX-60 powerplant line-up at a later date, offering customers the wide choice of technologically advanced, highly efficient powertrains appropriate to the outstanding levels of craftsmanship and on-board technology offered by the CX-60 model range. • The CX-60 was revealed on 8 March 2022 as part of Mazda's newly established Large Product Group, which includes a range of larger vehicles using rear- and all-wheel drive layout. Due to the switch to the rear-wheel drive-based layout, the model is moved upmarket towards models from luxury brands. • The model is a two-row vehicle which uses rear-biased, full-time all-wheel drive marketed as i-Activ AWD . It also features Kinematic Posture Control system which applies the brakes to the inside rear wheel to contain body roll. • The petrol plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model will be the first variant to be released. It uses the existing 2.5-litre Skyactiv-G engine combined with an electric motor and a 17.8 kWh lithium-ion battery which resulting in combined outputs of 241 kW (323 hp; 328 PS) and 500 N⋅m (51.0 kg⋅m; 369 lb⋅ft) of torque. It has a towing capacity of 2,500 kg (5,512 lb) with a claimed 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) figure of 5.8 seconds. Electric only mode top speed is 140 km/h or 90 mph. • Other engine options include two newly-developed units, which are 3.3-litre e-Skyactiv D diesel and 3.0-litre e-Skyactiv X petrol with spark-compression-ignition technology, both inline six-cylinder units with 48V mild hybrid system and will be released in late 2022 and 2023 respectively. Every CX-60 will be equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox with a multi-plate clutch and integrated electric motor/generator which replaces hydraulic converter as an input clutch in order to preserve the cornering performance of a rear-wheel drive system • The Mazda CX-60 is a mid-size crossover SUV produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda since 2022. It is the first vehicle to use Mazda's rear- and all-wheel drive Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture with longitudinal engine layout, which includes a line-up of straight-six engines. It is also the first Mazda vehicle to feature a plug-in hybrid option. • The CX-60 will be marketed in Europe, Japan, Australia and several other markets, while the North American market will receive the wider CX-70. By size, it is larger than the CX-5 and smaller than the CX-9.
