Akron police have released photos of a person of interest in connection with a robbery that happened Friday night in hopes the public can help identify them. • Akron police say it was around 8:20 p.m. when officers responded to the scene in the 500 block of North Main Street where they met with a 19-year-old victim who told police he found an unknown male in the back seat of his car. • The suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and forced him to drive to a nearby ATM on East Cuyahoga Falls Avenue. • “After withdrawing an undisclosed amount of cash, the victim exited his car and the suspect got into the driver’s seat and drove away,” according to Akron police. • The victim’s Toyota Camry was later recovered in the 400 block of Butler Street. • The suspect, however, has not been located. • Anybody who recognizes the person of interest or may have information regarding the incident is asked to call the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490 or 330-375-2Tip. Tips can also be submitted anonymously by calling the Summit County Crime Stoppers at 330-434-COPS. • • READ MORE: https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/loc... • • At 3News, we’re not here to tell you the news, we’re here to share the stories that you say matter most to you.
