Let's go back to Wario Land 3! As you may if you have been following the main project of this game, we left this game with one thing remaining that I still wanted to do. Namely the Time Attack mode! Even though it is technically not a requirement to do this in order to achieve 100% in the game officially, it is still something that I consider really fun to do since I'm somewhat of a hobbyist speedrunner. Whenever a game gives the option to do some time trials in a game, I'm going to be taking part in that 😜. Here in Wario Land 3 it unlocks after achieving 100% in the regular game, and that is also immediately the reason why I felt I needed to save up on this until later. During 100%'ing the game we already went past all the stages twice, and I wanted to keep a third run across all the stages a bit more separate so I was able to move on with another game 🤣. Yet, I still also wanted to get this out of the way before I start doing a Let's Play of another Wario game (like WarioWare Inc., Mega MicroGame$! or Wario Land 4 for instance). So let's start doing this as Extra content right away. Here in this first episode I will tackle the entire first world, in a not really that perfect way 😋. • Wario Land 3 is the final installment of the series on the classical Game Boy that takes a different approach compared to the first two games. No traditional platformer or a platformer with multiple endings. Now we are dealing with a metroidvania platformer! The game is still about collecting many treasure like we are used to, but now the treasures also actually help advance further in stages or even unlock fully new ones. The days of linear stage progressing are over. Wario needs to find his way through this complicated Music Box world to find the hidden powers of its former god.
