Delysia kicks off in match between Actors v Champion Boxers in aid of St. Dunstan's. • • The actress Mlle. Delysia stands on the centre circle of a very muddy looking Fulham football pitch (presumably this is Craven Cottage). She is definitely not dressed for the occasion. She is wearing a short dress that stops above the knee, a fur hat and scarf and high heeled shoes and stockings!. She kicks the ball from the centre spot and runs off the pitch and the match begins. • • L/S from behind the goal mouth, the two teams are both wearing white shorts one team is in dark shirts and the other in light. The team in dark shirts team has a man in the 25 yard box he is running at goal with only the goalkeeper to beat, he shoots ...... and he scores!. Some members of the crowd can be seen clapping in celebration. The dark shirted players also celebrate. • • M/S of the two teams lining up perhaps for an end of match ceremony, we see Mlle. Delysia again, she chats and laughs with some of the players whilst fidgeting with her handbag. • • Note: although the correct spelling is Delysia, it is sometimes recorded as Deleysia. • FILM ID:204.35 • A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
