Parappa the Rapper is a rhythm/music game released for the Sony Playstation in 1996 in Japan, and 1997 in North America. A surprise hit selling 3 million copies, and with a spin off game released a few years later, a Parappa the Rapper anime was made. Running from 2001-2002 for a total of 30 episodes, the show brings to life the quirky characters and locales from the games.
