This week, another Kawasaki motorcycle was launched, the W230 ABS throwback sport model, which occupies the opposite end of the displacement spectrum and merits attention. • The W230 is a traditionally designed roadster that contributes to a lineage originating in 1965 with the Kawasaki W1. Similar to the W1 and the W800, which remain in Kawasaki's current range, the W230 derives its design influence from historic British motorcycles such as the BSA A7. • Although British motorcycles were predominantly Twins, the W230 is equipped with a 233cc SOHC air-cooled Single engine. The engine is presumably derived from the Single of the KLX230S and KLX230SM, featuring an identical 67.0 mm bore, 66.0 mm stroke, and a fuel injection system equipped with dual 32mm throttle bodies.
