1998 Mexican Spec Volkswagen Beetle - 41014B • Hello Friends • This is a 1998 Mexican Spec Volkswagen Beetle. • They were produced until the 2003 model year. They were discontinued when Mexico City mandated all taxis have 4 doors. • These cars were used as taxis there and that was a huge portion of their sales. The Beetle Taxis is an iconic car in Mexico. • Out at the back is a fuel injected 1600 cc type 1 4 cylinder engine. • Of course it is a 4 speed manual as they all were in Mexico. • The interior is original to the car and in great condition. • It is rare to find a white Beetle where this car is. You might ask why. A lot of Beetles were painted white. • Well yes they were however the city where this car lives used white Beetles as their cars for many of their departments. When they were sold, they were painted all types of colors. • When I was there looking for Beetles for a previous client, I didn't see one white one for sale. I did see many that used to be white but were painted blue or red or green. • This is a well taken care of car, as yo can tell. • LED headlights have been installed. In this car I may let that pass as more light gives you a better feeling of safety. • Under the dash a panel was installed that has 2 cup holders and space to store your items. • While these tires look like white walls, they are not really. These have the white wall added to the tires. It is made of rubber and added to the tire under the lip of the rim. • It has an AM/FM Bluetooth with a booster. • This is a turn key car, needing nothing. With that said I would still check the fuel lines and brake pads. Oh by the way it does have disc brakes in the front. • Here is the break down on the cost of the vehicle. The vehicle itself will be $10,700 dollars. Transport from where it is to the Nogales Arizona border $1,200 dollars for a total of $11,900 . This price includes transport from Central Mexico to the border at Nogales.
