On June 14, 2006 at 5:51 am, BNSF train MRICBAR1-13A a manifest train, ignored speed restriction and passed a red signal, which resulted in a head-on collision with BNSF train USBDPKC1-11A, a cement train. Probably the best outcome was everyone involved survived, even the 2 crews who rode out the collision of the cement train, which was surely a miracle. • The Federal Railroad Administration, or FRA, investigated the crash (this was not an NTSB investigation) and had an interview with the crews of the manifest. All their statements involving the sunrise and signals were proven false and were blamed for the crash. The crew tested positive for cocaine (DON'T DO DRUGS KIDS!!!!!). This is likely the reason why the didn't obey the signals and speed restrictions. • Engines of MRICBAR1-13: • BNSF 4059 (Dash 9-44CW), NREX 5473 (SD50)(scrapped), BNSF 1065 (Dash 9-44CW), FURX 8110 (SD40-2), BNSF 2437 (GP30u), BNSF 7065 (SD40-2), BNSF 997 (Dash 9-44CW) • Engines of USBDPKC1-11: • BNSF 4479 (Dash 9-44CW), BNSF 4715 (Dash 9-44CW), NS 8967 (D9-40CW), BNSF 4576 (Dash 9-44CW) • All the information given in this video came from the FRA's official accident report: https://www.fra.dot.gov/Elib/Document....
