HMS Amazon F169 featured in a Royal Navy recruitment advert from 1980 • Royal Navy Recruitment TV advert Circa 1980 • HMS Amazon was the first Type 21 frigate of the Royal Navy. Her keel was laid down at the Vosper Thornycroft shipyard in Southampton, England.
