I've seen a lot of wire sculptures online that claim to be tutorials but when you go to watch them they don't actually explain anything. They do show you how but there's no tips. I'm here to rectify that. This is a real, homegrown, down to earth walk through on how to make a copper wire tree. • I make my leaves a little different then what I've seen others do. I was inspired to make them this way from architecture sketches of trees and bushes, and I think this way is faster and easier. • The wire I used is from Cat3 networking wire that I picked up at a garage sale for 5$. I think it's roughly 26 gauge copper. I used 225 ft of the original cable which gave me 600 strands that were 3 ft long. • The wire stripping jig I made is a scrap piece of plywood with some holes drilled into it that was a little larger than the wire. Then I screwed on a razor blade that covered about 25% of the hole. The trick is to pull the wire through at the right angle. • I hope you enjoyed! • Please Subscribe, like, comment, and hit the notification button. • Your support means the world to me. • • Follow me on instagram and facebook @devinsartstudio • Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE and hit the Noti Bell • Tchao For Now! • Subscribe: / @blanchbrothersstudio • FOLLOW: • / devinsartstudio • / devins-art-studio-657058284770037 • Tree Sculpture Made of Copper - A Better Way • • Tree Sculpture Made of Copper - A Bet...
