Shooting the M2 Carbine! • First introduced in Oct 1944, the M2 carbine was a select-fire version of the M1 Carbine developed in response to the German's use of the Sturmgewehr 44 on the battlefield. While it entered service towards the end of the European theater of operations, the US Marines used it in the battle for the Philippines. The M2 Carbine was produced as both a factory rifle, as well as a kit that allowed the original M1 to fire in full auto mode with a rate of fire of 750-800 rounds per minute. The M2 saw extensive use in the Korean conflict as well as use by special forces advisors in the early days of the Vietnam War. It is still in use today by armies all over the world, and provides a lightweight and capable carbine to military units all over. • 00:00 M2 carbine • 02:22 semi-auto firing of the M2 Carbine • 02:28 controlled bursts with the M2 Carbine • 02:42 15 round magazine dump with the M2 Carbine • -------- • Follow Legacy Arms on Instagram and Facebook for more gun history, rare finds firing fun! • FACEBOOK: / legacyarmsintl • INSTAGRAM: / legacyarmsintl • --------- • DISCLAIMER: All firearms in this video are in use at a gun range, with all necessary safety precautions in place.
