Escape from Germany is a historical drama set during World War II. The film recounts the true story of a miraculous yet unsung event. In the summer of 1939, as Hitler’s army was rapidly closing borders, eighty-five American missionaries were serving their church inside Germany. As the German military preparations escalated, word came to speedily move these LDS missionaries to safety in adjacent countries. The film is based on the personal journals of these missionaries and is a testimony that God truly leads and protects His servants, opens doors, and provides timely inspiration.
