Products In Video: • Contura II Nav/Anc Switch: https://newwiremarine.com/product/nav... • In this video wiring guide, we show how to wire a 7 terminal, VJD1-D66B rocker switch to operate a boat's navigation and anchor lights. • In this extremely common configuration a single switch is used for several lights. A Red and Green forward navigation light, and a white stern (or high point) light. • When the Nav/Anc rocker switch is in the UP position both the red/green and the white lights are on. This lighting scheme is required when the boat is moving at night. • When in the down position only the white light is on. This position is used while the boat is at anchor - not moving. • To create this BOTH-OFF-ONE functionality a Double Pole Double Throw rocker switch is used. An external jumper is applied between terminals 1 and 6 for the anchor light. The navigation light comes out of terminal 3. • As you can see in the video - jumping terminals 1 and 6 is what allows the anchor light to come on in both positions. • Remember that the poles on this VJD1 rocker switch are isolated, so you must provide both terminals 2 and 5 with positive input.
