Great opening scene of the 60's TV Series Route 66. Martin Milner and George Maharis. Season 3 Episode 1 One Tiger to a Hill. When this was filmed, the beaches of Astoria, Oregon were considered public access highways. Not sure what the status of that House Bill is these days. With EPA regulations, probably not allowed any longer.
